The clients appointed Affordable Housing Solutions early in the design process to advice on affordable housing strategy and project specific input. The latter included affordable housing policy matters; design and specification, advice disposal of the affordable housing content.
Our brief specifically included responsibility for reaching agreement with the City Council as regards the quantum/mix, and tenure of the affordable housing content. A suitable conclusion to decisions was facilitated by a detailed financial appraisal of the proposals.
Our negotiations with Westminster City Council resulted in an agreement to deliver 17% affordable housing within a discrete demise on site.
Affordable Housing Solutions subsequently agreed optimum terms of sale of the affordable housing content with Octavia Housing. Construction works are now well underway with completion anticipated in late 2014.
