Farm Lane

The two-acre site, in Farm Lane, Fulham, SW6, is a former rundown light industrial trading estate, once used as stables for horse buses and in later days, cabs. London Square acquired the site in 2010 and now has planning permission granted by the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

London Square have restored the locally listed ornate Edwardian arched entrance and railings to Farm Lane, which open an impressive urban square will be created, with terraced townhouses on three sides designed as a contemporary interpretation of Georgian proportions. The square will be traffic-free, with communal gardens at its heart to design attractive green space for residents.

Affordable Housing Solutions have provided strategic and operational advise to London Square since the inception of their company in 2012.  In relation to Farm Lane, AHS robustly analysed the costs and value implications of the proposed development in order to provide the Borough with a sound justification for the level of affordable housing obligations attached to the planning consent.

We demonstrated to the satisfaction of the Borough that economics of affordable housing provision would deliver a maximum of ten affordable discounted market sale units to provide quality accommodation for  households in low paid employment in Hammersmith and Fulham.

The proposed scheme features 40 market sale townhouses, ranging in size from three to five bedrooms, is set behind two grand arches in the heart of  Fulham, and will be launched in the market in late 2013.
