Derwent London is one of London’s most innovative office specialist property regenerators and investors and is well known for its design-led philosophy and creative management approach to development.
The Group owns and manages an investment portfolio of 5.5 million sq ft, of which 97% is located in central London, with a specific focus on the West End and the areas bordering the City of London.
Derwent London first commissioned Affordable Housing Solutions 2008, and we have advised on a range of the company’s projects which have involved potential affordable housing obligations in the years that have followed. These have included the prestigious Saatchi development in Fitzrovia.
As regards Suffolk House, located in London Borough of Camden, Derwent London has secured a planning consent to provide a bank of affordable homes to facilitate the delivery of a number of schemes elsewhere in the borough. This secured objective provides the borough with much needed affordable housing earlier than would otherwise be the case, whilst also offering the opportunity to maximise the efficient future management of the affordable housing scheme.
Designed by award winning architects DSDHA, Suffolk House site will provide high quality affordable residential accommodation in close proximity to both formal and informal play areas, and commenced construction in the Autumn of 2013.
